Winsor & Newton Cotman Water Colours area range of moderately priced colours which have been carefully selected to offer a wide colour spectrum within a uniform price. A range which is suitable for both amateur artists or the accomplished artist who requires large volumes of colour for an economical price. The range of 40 colours are chosen according to mass tone, undertone, colour strength, relative opacity and the character of the pigment itself. the resultant colour spectrum ensures the largest number of colours can be mixed.

The Cotmam Water Colour range benefits from the formulations, manufacture and quality control that comes only from Winsor & Newton. The colour range itself relates to Artist’ Water Colours in hue, enabling the use of colours from either range with minimal adjustment to technique. Both Cotman and Artists’ Water Colours can be freely intermixed. If long term permanence is require use only colours rated AA or A which are recommended as permanent for artists’ use.
