This is a traditional style high quality fabric suitable for hand or machine stitching. It is a classic for sashiko and boro stitching, but equally suitable for sewing clothing, soft home decor projects and country quilting. Use it to take you modern embroidery to a whole other level!

Made for Olympus, Japan, who do an excellent job of maintaining the authentic look of traditional Japanese country fabrics while providing the modern quality and care features we want. It is colourfast, durable and machine washable, with minimal to no shrinkage.

  • Dyed Yarn 100% cotton with a slight surface texture.

What is Sakizome-momen?

Sakizome-momenfabric is adyed yarn cotton fabric. Dyed yarn fabrics are made from yarn (threads) that have been dyed before the fabric is woven. This gives itinteresting colour variations, plus it means the colour is embedded right through the cloth, not only on the surface.
