Spiny Oyster is widely used by Native Americans in their jewellery designs, and being from the Cherokee Tribe I had to add these to our Collections!

The Spiny Oyster originates off the Pacific Coast and belongs to the family of large mollusks. Sometimes called thorny oyster.

They are collected and harvested for their shells which are used in jewellery designs. Their beautiful shells contain the fiery orange and red coral colouring that combines beautifully with the vibrant turquoise

Copper may give your skin a lovely greenish hue – totally normal, totally harmless, and totally washable with warm soapy water, trust me, it’s happened to me plenty of times!

Copper naturally goes a bit oxidised due to climate and skin acids, but don’t worry, it’s not a flaw, just metal being its fabulous self. A squeeze of lemon juice can sort it out, just wipe for a few minutes with a soaked paper towel of zesty juice, rinse, and voila its back to its original lustre.

The copper jewellery rule is simple, last on, first off, and avoid all the nasty stuff like lotions, oils, harsh detergents, and salt water, or you’ll be saying goodbye to your favourite copper piece, and hello to a world of regret!
