Mayco Elements Glaze – Cone 06-Cone 10

Cone 06 oxidation:Spotted Walnut is a matte, mottled tan and light brown glaze. It has medium black and white crystals with black specks.

Cone 6 oxidation:Base glaze changes to white with some crystallization; crystals melt into base glaze. Enhanced mobility. Surface issues may occur.

TIP:This glaze WILL move. Take care when using on vertical pieces reduce glaze thickness towards the bottom third to minimize run-off. This glaze will pinhole at three coats.Not overglaze compatible.

Apply 2-3 coats, allowing surface to dry in-between coats. When applying to a large surface, we recommend a broad, soft fan brush. As movement and flowing are characteristics of this glaze, taper off toward the bottom of the ware to prevent glaze running of the piece onto kiln shelves.
