The Cone Art 2318D is rapidly becoming a favourite for home studios and schools. It is exactly like the popular 2327D except it is shallower at 18 deep. This makes it much easier to load and unload.

All kilns are made to order and take from 8-12 weeks. Some orders may require additional shipping charges for home delivery.

Vent: Venting your kiln ensures that the gasses produced during firing do not create any health problems for those sharing air with the kiln. Venting also helps with cooling the kiln. If you buy the Orton ventmaster it will come pre-installed on the kiln for easy installation into a vent system.

Controller: Kilns come with a Multiple zone Bartlett controller (no app integration). You can choose to upgrade to the Genesis 2.0 touch screen controller for a fee. The Genesis controller allows you to control your kiln from the palm of your hand with an app.

The Genesis 2.0 has a larger processor, improved encryption, and built-in diagnostics.It also has a graphical display of the firing process, and allows users to make adjustments during a firing.Other Bartlett controllers, like the V6-CF, don’t have mobile app integration.

Installation: If you need an electrician for your kiln and/or a contractor to install your vent, I have those services available.

It has the same heavy duty double wall construction as all of the other Cone Art pottery kilns resulting in approximately 30% less heat loss through the walls than a brick only kiln, and our standard element in the floor helps to ensure even firings every time.

This is a double insulated kiln with a wall profile of 2.5 premium firebrick plus 1 of block insulation. The floor and lid are constructed with 3 firebrick and has an additional 1 of block insulation. The extra insulation ensures a cooler, safer jacket, longer element life, and approximately 30 % savings in electricity costs. The kiln is clad in a stainless-steel jacket for extra protection and durability.

There are heavy-duty Kanthal A-1 elements in the walls and floor. This makes firing to cone 10 a breeze even with high mass loads.

This kiln is equipped with a counterweight lid lifter and Bartlett electronic controller with multiple zone control panel mounted on an angle for easy viewing. Both features come standard atNO EXTRA CHARGE.

This kiln is available with the standard V6-CF Bartlett keypad or upgrade to the Wifi-enabled Genesis touch screen.
